Melbourne

Melbourne in winter is the perfect location to enjoy the season. The streets are meticulously decorated with gorgeous trees and amazing architecture. It was a short stay, only three days! So, this is what I did in Melbourne in my long winter weekend getaway:

1. Visit Luna Park in St Kilda. Spend some time in the area as it has a variety of cafes, restaurants, a beach, Sunday street market and penguins.

2. Brighton Beach is where you will find many colourful small houses called Bathing Boxes.

3. Melbourne has gorgeous arcades. This one is the Block Arcade, an exquisite building where you can shop and dine with elegance. The stunning and sumptuous architecture is very impressive. The Block Arcade is located in Collins Street.

4. 333, Collins Street is an address to be remembered. A must see building that once was a former bank and now holds exhibitions and is a sought after location for wedding ceremonies.

5. You might see these gorgeous horses around Melbourne, they are adorable and friendly. For a 30 min ride it costs $100. It is definitely a majestic way to see this wonderful city.

6. Explore Melbourne Southgate. A beautiful location where you can walk by the Yarra River, experience fine dine with a view and go shopping.

7. Federation Square has an unique architecture and a lot to offer. Activities, exhibitions, markets, and so much more. To find out more click HERE

8. If you have time, you should try to explore places outside Melbourne. Such as Geelong, The Great Ocean Road and Bells Beach. After the amazing days spent in Melbourne, I found a beautiful tree in Jan Juc not far from Torquay. There I found the perfect place to read my YMagazine where I could lie down on a rug of natural leaves. What a great way to relax!

9. I stayed in Novotel on Collins, a great hotel in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Read all about the hotel HERE

    1. Thank you. You should visit Melbourne I am sure you will like it. It does not snow in Melbourne but it does in many areas in Australia. I love snow though it is so beautiful, but I feel the cold a lot. So I like going on holidays and back to the warm weather in Queensland. Thanks again for the lovely comments. Have a lovely day.
